Non-alcoholic carbonated drink Tonic and Grapefruit flavored Tonic

Non-alcoholic carbonated drink Tonic and Grapefruit flavored Tonic

Tonic is a bitter-sour non-alcoholic carbonated drink that contains quinine. It is often used to dilute alcoholic drinks, especially gin, and to make cocktails.
One of the versions of the origin of the tonic is as follows: during the construction of the Panama Canal, many white specialists were involved, who suffered greatly from tropical fever. And there was nothing against fever except quinine at that time. Taking quinine as a preventive measure against epidemics was prescribed to everyone without exception. Quinine is an extremely bitter powder, so after pouring it from a packet into the mouth, it was quickly washed down with a large amount of water. Thomas Patterson, a hydraulic engineer from Iowa, was very fond of carbonating water in a siphon. And one day he poured a packet of quinine into a glass, filled it with soda water and drank it. The drink was even refreshing. Not stopping there, the next time Patterson added his favorite gin (juniper vodka), crushed ice, and lemon juice.
Tonic, produced by EMB+, is available in two flavors: bitter Lemon and Grapefruit.
Preparatory work was carried out for 15 months: development of recipes, selection of raw materials and flavor base, production of laboratory batches of the drink, development of the product appearance, label design. Now these new items have appeared in our range in mass production in 2024 and already have many positive reviews and comments from customers. In the future, it is possible to expand the line with 2-3 more flavors.
